Cyrus Caclini

In March 2016, Philippine-born Cyrus Caclini of Texas was named to Full-Service Restaurants Magazine‘s “Rising Stars, 40 professionals under the age of 40” list.

Cyrus Caclini, 28 years of age at the time, graduated from the Culinary Institute LeNôtre school, and while studying, trained in many restaurants in Houston, such as Noé Grill located in the Omni Houston Hotel, Soma Sushi, or River Oaks Country Club. In November 2015, he was one of three named chefs at a publicized pop-up event in the city.

Today, Cyrus is sous-chef at Kata Robata Sushi + Grill where he is credited for creating Miso Lobster Macaroni & Cheese for the menu, as well as introducing the sweet Filipino concoction known as halo-halo.
