TAMBOL

tambol
drum

Etymology: from the Spanish word tambor, which can be translated as drum or drummer.

The related English word is tambour, meaning drum or drummer.

In the Filipino language, the word tambol refers to the musical instrument.

A native Tagalog word for 'drum' seems to be balara, but very few Filipinos know of that meaning.

nagtatambol
playing drums

Nagtambol ako gabi't umaga.
I played the drums night and morning.

Magaling akong tumambol.
I'm good at playing the drums.

Filipinos will say  'tahm-bol' when they want to use the English word 'tumble.'
The accent on the syllables differs though.
The word for 'drum' is more strong stressed on the last syllable.

Magaling akong tumámbol / mag-tambling.
I'm very good at tumbling.

Magaling akong tumamból.
I'm very good at drumming.
