SARAT

The word was originally tsarat but in the past hundred years has evolved into sarat, although a few people still spell it as charat.

a flat nose

Sarat ang ilong niya.
His/Her nose is flat.

A sarat nose is considered unattractive by Filipinos. They think the more matangos (pointed) a nose one has, the better.
