SARAT

sarat
flat-nosed, snub-nosed

sarat na ilong
a flat nose

Sarat ang ilong niya.
His/Her nose is flat.

The Tagalog word was originally charat but in the past hundred years has evolved into sarat, although a few people still spell it as tsarat.

A sarat nose is considered unattractive by Filipinos. They think the more matangos (pointed) a nose one has, the better.
