LANSONES

Ito ay isang uri ng prutas. This is a type of fruit.

Lansones is a fruit tree belonging to the family Meliaceae.

In English, Lansium domesticum is known as langsat or lanzones. In Thailand, they are known as longkong.

Lanzones Fruit Tree of Legend

According to Philippine legend, the lanzones fruit used to be poisonous and extremely sour. But one day, a woman and her child were traveling along a road, very hungry. Finding only lanzones trees around and having nothing else to eat, the woman reached for the poisonous fruit, pinched one open and fed it to her child. From then on, the lanzones became sweet and edible. The woman turned out to be the Virgin Mary. (That is seriously how the story is told.)

Paano mag-imbak o magmatamis ng lansones?

Alisan ng balat ang lasones. Himayin ang mga liha at ibabad sa tubig na may kaunting asin nang huwag mamula. Alisan ng mga buto at hugasan ng malamig na tubig, upang maalis ang alat. Ilagay sa garapon at busan ng arnibal. Pakuluan ang garapon nang 25 minuto.
