The fish that Filipinos call dilis has the scientific name Stolephorus commersonii.  These fish are small and are caught in large schools (groups).

Dilis is a popular fish in the Philippines.  Dried dilis are  a great snack, but this fish is also used in soups, broths and other dishes.
